Text-A-Tip

The Seattle Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound offer citizens the option to anonymously text-message tips about serious crimes.  These texted tips may be sent to Crime Stoppers in the following fashion:

How to Send Anonymous Text Message Tips to Crime Stoppers
  1. Find Messaging on your cell phone
  2. Enter the number 274637 (CRIMES) on the To line
  3. Type Tip486 and what you want to say in the message box
  4. Hit OK or SEND button
  5. You will receive a message back giving you a Pin # and Instructions on what to do next. Remember your Pin #.
